Today I decided to go ahead and step things up a bit. I had been slowly getting into the mindframe of being healthier and active, but today I took the stand to push forward. I slipped a bit on the food aspect (missed eating times), but did better at bootcamp (committed to going more often).
I started the day out with a bowl of Honey Nut Cherrios (did you know it's in the top 10 for healthiest cereals?). I used vanilla flavored rice milk. Fairly standard to start off my day.
I then proceeded to work and munched on sunflower seeds while there. I'm sure I should cut down on them, but they allow me to fidget less and be productive while working on the computer. Just checked and I seem to be going through about 4 1/4 oz. a day while at work...and probably about the same at night while at home. It's a fairly horrible habit, but it keeps me sane.
For lunch I made two chicken tacos with the equivalent of about one large boneless skinless chicken breast that had been cooked in orange juice, cayenne pepper, hot sauce, lots of garlic, season salt, lime juice, and various other spices. It pretty much rules. I used two trader joes corn tortillas.
Work was a bit busy but as I was running out the door to hit boot camp I grabbed a bar. Highly recommended to me, and quite tasty. http://greensplus.com/product_info.php/cPath/84_21_124_65/products_id/156
I attended boot camp, died, came back to life but just enough to jump onto life support.
Many hours later (way outside of the realm that it should have been) I had a bit of a snack. Should have been a full meal, but it was getting late. I didn't want to deal with it. I grabbed a couple of slices of ham and a couple of turkey with a few water crackers.
I've only had about 3 litres of beverage today (between propel and water). I had been getting up to 4 and hope to be sticking around that. I could have used some more hydration though. Cramped up a bit after boot camp due to lack of water. Nowhere near as the cramp from a couple of weeks ago....in which I was even more dehydrated.
So my basics are meal/snack every 2 and a half to 4 hours (at the latest). 3-4 litres of fluids a day, and working on getting more excercise. It's going well.
